How you do your questing - Guild Wars Forums

I'm just curious on how you all explore the land. Do you take on every quest possible to gain xp or learn new skills or do you just rip through the game? Is it really worth doing all of the basic quests because I am having spasms from all the new quests I am getting and I;m wondering if its really worth it or not. I have done up to yaks bend in missions and i'm at lv 13..... what should i do? just continue with the missions or do these simple quests? thanx

Probably the most effective way is to to skip most of the quests. They ones you DO want are ones that rewards new skills or +1000xp.

Other than that, do every mission and go thru.

First char we did 75% of what we came across during the story line.
second char blew thru to Doknars, no going back and getting what I missed
Third char doing every quest in every place before moving on.

If your having issues doing all the side-quests then I'd advise you to get on and do the missions then - about the only side quests you *should* do are those that give skills as a reward... or if the reward is a better weapon than yours and you want it. Otherwise just stay with the main storyline quests if your having issues with doing all the side-quests.

My latest character is doing every quest and since I've done them before I know how to zip through them all really quickly. I like to pile them up and them do several of them at once in an area. I enjoy going back to NPCs and receiving a bunch of experience several times all at once. Makes even the 250xp quests seem kind of worth it. Eventually though as you go through the game the quests thin out and it is fairly easy to do most of them while on the way to a mission area or major quest.

I take every quest and do every quest. Then I explore those parts of the map I don't get to in the quests.

I play to PvE, not PvP, so there's no point for me in rushing.

same here. every amount of exp you gain from a quest counts even if it's not that much.

I don't like to feel confined to doing the game by the numbers (quest1 quest 2..ect) so I just go where I feel like going. And doing them a second time doesn't interest me. In fact I just recently went back and did a few quests I missed just because it allowed me to get new secondary spells for a new profession. (Did 2 early missions I skipped for the skill points tonight). My way of playing goes back to when mmog's were virtual worlds and not leveling machines for the paint by number crowd. ;p

First time around it's nice to do as many quests as possible IMO. I mean, what's the rush? Then with subsequent characters you can rush them to higher levels quickly, if you wish. After the first time you'll also have a better idea how to go about it anyway.
